About Sahar Kordahi
Background
Sahar traveled the world at an early age, developing an independent spirit and an open mind. She connects readily with people of diverse nationalities, ethnic backgrounds, religions and cultures. Sahar believes that each person has unique gifts to share, and she loves helping others grow and excel. She is enthusiastic, creative and optimistic by nature, a talented motivator and leader. Sahar received her BA in Intercultural Geography from California State University at San Francisco and has pursued continuing education and earned numerous certifications throughout her career.
Travel Industry Experience
Sahar worked in the travel industry for 20 years, starting as a travel agent, moving into management, and eventually developing a specialty in niche marketing for small travel agencies in the San Francisco Bay Area. Sahar arranged travel and vacation itineraries for high-end clients, including Saudi princesses, Silicon Valley executives and prominent Bay Area business professionals. She is especially proud of her work developing and organizing “Pavarotti in Concert” tours, escorting VIP groups to performances by Luciano Pavarotti around the world.
Real Estate Industry Experience
Beginning in 2001, Sahar undertook the management of the Kordahi Team. As Marketing Manager of the Kordahi Team at Re/Max Realty, Sahar hired and trained buyer's agents, designed and implemented office systems, generated leads and developed expertise in marketing the Team. The Team were top producers at Re/Max Realty. In 2003, Sahar and the Kordahi Team were recognized with a Community Service award from Re/Max Realty
In 2004 the Kordahi Team joined Keller Williams, and Sahar’s efforts and dedication earned them many awards, including the Pinnacle Award, the highest award given by the Bay Area Associations of Realtors. Sahar also earned her Real Estate license in 2004. And at the 2005 KW Northern California and Hawaii regional awards ceremony, the Kordahi Team received a GCI Production Leader Award, placing 9th in the region.
Community Service
Sahar has always been very conscious of the needs of the community she serves. Each year she gives many volunteer hours to local schools and other community efforts. Sahar volunteers with the Castro Valley and San Ramon Unified School Districts, administering Arabic-English language evaluations and serving as an interpreter for the Arabic-speaking families of students in the districts. Sahar has also provided leadership and fundraising for Parent Education Programs and After School Programs for the Castro Valley Unified School District.
After the events of September 11, 2001, Sahar co-founded Castro Valley Citizens for Middle Eastern Awareness, a group of Christian, Muslim and Jewish women who spoke at schools, libraries and churches to educate their local community about the cultures of the Middle East through personal stories and human connection.
Business and Life Coaching Experience
In 2006, Sahar made the decision to pursue a longtime dream: to help others grow in their lives by setting goals that shape their destiny. She received her Business and Life Coaching certification from McLean International Coaching and Consulting. Through her coaching education, Sahar has become highly skilled at helping people align their talents and deeply held values.
Sahar’s business, Life Needs a Move Coaching and Consulting, offers many programs in life and business development. Sahar also conducts workshops throughout the Bay Area for Real Estate and Mortgage companies. Her current workshop is entitled, “Shifting Your Thoughts Through The Shifting Market for 2008.”
Sahar is involved in a year-long accountability program with KO productions, entitled, “I AM… I WILL.” This program supports her in moving forward with her coaching goals, as well as with her own personal growth. She is also the Program Manager for one of KO Production year-long accountability classes in Pleasanton.
A proud mother of two teenage girls, Sahar resides in the San Francisco Bay Area. She enjoys nature walks and hikes, Photography, Traveling the world, reading, and her most recent hobby bird watching.
